Vocabulary is a big part of reading. Students should learn to pronounce the word correctly and know that correct meaning for the word. We want children to know how important this is cause when they are reading we need them to understand that's it's very important that they comprehend the material.

Engagement stratigies are very impostant! For young children especially anytime you have to transfer them into another room, you need to use one! It grabs the child's attention and holds it there so you can teach them!

Vocabulary is very important. The games helped engage the students. More students will want to learn because of the games. The six steps are very important to follow to help a student increase their vocabulary.

If English is a second language to the learner, provide an opportunity to translate the word into their native language (BabelFish).
Step_5: The learner will discuss the term with other learners.
Pair-Share Strategy:
THINK: Allow think time for learners to review their own descriptions and images of the terms.
PAIR: Put learners in pairs to discuss their descriptions, images, and any new info related to the terms.

Critique:
I think that vocabulary is the most important concept that student must learn in order to understand what they are reading. I think that it's very important that at any time of one's life we must make sure we understand what we are reading. When in doubt we should teach students that when they come across a word they don't understand or what it means they should research the word. I think that your page has a lot of useful information.

I think that cooperative learning is awesome. I have done a lot of classroom observations since I started this class. I think it's amazing how when the teacher divides the students into groups. There are students that don't really understand what they are supposed to do but they get lots of help from classmates in their group. I see that the teachers group ESE students with the high achievers and the ELL students with the bilingual students. I also thinks that this is a good way to engage students and build their social skills. Very good information.
