BEFORE starting a project the group should create the working contract together! To avoid pitfalls of group projects the team should assign roles to each person and due dates for the assigned work. Our group did not do that. It was very unorganized and no one stepped up as a leader. Beatriz did a good job communicating with everyone but it is very difficult with everyone's schedule. The goals for the project were not set at the beginning, that is where our major downfall was, because no one knew what was expected of them. At the beginning of the project I was expecting to get an "A", but as the project went on and there was little to no communication I am expecting a much less grade. I would say probably "C" work. We didn't create any rules therefore no team member performed to their best ability. The methods of communication used were, The Edison portal, the wikispace and the blackboard learning system. Also the telephone was used for some, and Beatriz and Jaquie met in person. The work was not divided and responsibilities were not stated at the beginning of the project. I decided to work on the introduction page, my strategy and the working contract because nothing was being done. Again no one is to blame for this, but we did not do as we were asked as a group. We dealt with the problems by everyone individually messaging the professor, it was very disorganized because we never developed the working contract. All in all I do not think our group accomplished the goal because we did not set up a working contract together at the beginning of the project.
